Here’s how it works in 4 easy steps


Select the type of Criminal History Check that you require.

If you require a police check for commercial/employment purposes you must select a Standard Check. If you are undertaking any work placement or unpaid volunteer work you can select a Volunteer Check.


Pay and complete the online application form

You can make an online payment with most major credit cards through ANZ’s E-Gate secure system. Once your payment has been processed, you can access your account dashboard and complete the rest of the application process all online. You can log in and out at anytime should you wish to complete the application at a later stage.


Upload or POST your certified ID Documents.

Once you have completed the online application form, you will need to provide us with your identity documents. You can either upload these electronically through your account (secure gateway) or send them through the post. You have the option to upload a photo of yourself holding one of the photo IDs or get your ID certified by a qualified witness.


Access your certificate electronically through your account

As soon as we receive the result back from the Police Checking authorities, we will immediately send the notification to your nominated email address (SMS optional). The certificate can then be downloaded any time via your secure account.

If you expect to conduct under 100 police checks a year, you will be able to register your business online and start

Register online (if under 100 P/A)

Easily register online and we will activate your account within 15 minutes. Once you have registered your organisation for access to our online business portal you will be able to lodge applications straight away.


Start lodging applications directly from your portal

You have 2 options to start lodging applications –

  1. Send out an invite directly to the applicant from within the Portal. The applicant will receive an email informing them that they can complete the entire application online. Once they have completed the application, you will receive an email notifying you of this.
  2. Submit applications from the portal directly to InterCheck.
