A portal check is used when the business would like to input the applicants’ details on their behalf.

If the applicant doesn’t have an email or access to the Internet, you can submit the application form on their behalf via Portal Check.

In able to do a portal check, the authorised personnel needs to obtain the consent form from the applicants and upload into the system.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Go to New Check -> Check Home

2. Select Portal Check

3. Start with selecting check types. If your business has different departments, you can assign the applicant to the appropriate department. (This is optional)

4. Entering the applicant’s details. If the applicants’ name is SINGLE NAME, please select the single name only box.

Single name: Candidate has only a Surname or a Given Name. 

Important: if the applicant has maiden/previous name, you need to provide it by clicking on Add more name button

Please note: As the police check results are based on Name, Gender and Date of Birth, please make sure that you have entered the correct details to ensure that the police has released the right information.

If the details have been provided incorrectly, the certificate will be deemed as invalid and has to be destroyed straight away

5. Once you have completed input the applicant’s details, please click save to proceed to next step. At this stage, the application is saved in the system.

6. If you are ready to submit the application, can click on “ready to submit” button

7. Here you can see the reference number of the application in case you need to contact us in the future regarding this application

8. If you have not had a consent form from the applicant, you do need to download the consent form and get the applicant to sign.

9. After you have review all the details and make sure they are all correct, you have to provide consent that you have obtained the required ID and have obtained signed consent from the applicant.

If you would like to modify information, you can still do so by clicking on the Modify button

If you have confirmed all the information you provided is correct, please click on Submit to Intercheck

10. You can monitor the progress of the application in “Manage Checks” tab. The application at this stage will be in the queue to be processed by Intercheck’s Staffs
